Cassie Kuzmicky (she/they) is a writer, poet and novelist from Melbourne, Australia. She holds a Certificate IV of Professional Writing and Editing, winning the Outstanding Student of the Year, and a Bachelor of Wildlife and Conservation Biology.
Her debut poetry book, Autumn Speaks, was self published in her early 20s. Autumn Speaks explores her experiences of heartbreak, love and self discovery within an autumnal landscape, as well as touches on various aspects of her mental health including depression, anxiety and body dysmorphia. She wishes to not only reach out to people to detail what life is like for her through her writing, but also advocates to raise awareness of these complicated issues and fight for better support for people afflicted with mental health issues.
Currently, she is working on other writing projects including a second poetry book and a novel.
